Vernon Figure Skating Fundraising/Volunteer Policy
2025/26
September 2025-June 2026
As a non-profit organization, Vernon Figure Skating Club is run and managed by a group of volunteers: the VFSC Board and Skaters' parents (Members). Volunteer work is essential to the quality and success of our Club, and to your child's experience here. Prior experience is not required. Volunteering in the Club is a great opportunity to learn about the sport of figure skating and how the Club runs, as well as a fun way to meet other Club members and have a good time while helping out.
Skaters registered in StarSkate, and Adult & Teen Plus a mandatory pending volunteer buyout installment fee $150 *15 credits* per Skater will be applied to initial registration. This fee will then be removed from the invoice upon completion of the member's/skater's volunteer requirements. The installment will have no initial amount and if the member/skater has NOT fulfilled the volunteer requirements ~Sept 15 2025-June 19 2026~ VFSC will receive the
Installment DUE on June 19 2026.

• Ice Shows are required volunteer participation ABOVE Fundraising/Volunteering Credits.
• Synchronized (Synchro) Team skating fundraising for the team's own purposes is OUTSIDE Fundraising/Volunteering Credits.
